They did it like this, so you can easily see, what a skill / buff and what a temporary bonus is. I wouldn't have used a diamond shape, because it doesn't look so good if the icon is cut off. Maybe a hexagon instead.

I'm not a professional designer to be honest and they are made in 20 minutes, but thanks for advices. Aswell can be hard improved using them all in one .dds file and making with .sub. But exactly who want perfomance can do for they

As you well know the affects on the icons for drop yang, exp are in green, and when you attach a skill the skill's affect is red, I never liked this thing and I decided to modify them to be in theme with the other affects.
