Metin2 general format specifiers have been added such as %d, %u, %s, %lu, %lld and %f. If you wish to add others, edit the table. Flags, precision and width parameters have not been implemented because they weren't really used besides floating numbers which are always set to 2 decimals places precision. You can also use this as a template for quest strings, which have been moved to client side on official servers.

Chat function takes 3 main arguments:

    • Chat type,
    • String index,
    • String.

You can modify it's structure to your likings. You can use the default structure which takes chat type and string as arguments and find index of the string in the function it self. Without string index, client will not be able to find the right string. Without string, server will not be able to find format specifiers and pull arguments to send them to client.

    Hey-ho people!

I am looking for serious individuals to join an upcoming project. Specifically in charge of moderating the game and promoting it .

In hopes that we created something unique and stunning while still maintaining Metin2 core ideas, we will try to push the server to the very top of this scene. For this we need you! If you would like to be a part of something different than current always-same-old-school-type-trend hit me up and we will discuss it in detail.

Also, it would be impolite of me if I did not bring some of the basic information about the server. It is set to be International so speaking English is mandatory. It falls into a middle-school genre with a maximum level cap of 150 levels, but do not let that scare you away. If you wish to see more about this project, you are free to scout the internet under the name Metin2 WarRage for more graphical content.

We have been in the development phase for quite a long time and the time has finally come to show our creations. If you are willing to join us, you can contact me through Discord (You can find my ID at my profile).

    Kind regards

    Sonitex

    Dear community,

I would like to start by introducing myself. I have been in the Metin2 scene under this nickname for quite a long time now. In the early days, I have started a project of mine where the goal was to rebuild Metin2 but that ended quite quickly due to low interest from others. Then I moved on and opened my very first private server which gave me a lot of insight and valuable experience on private servers in general. Server, under the name of WarRage2, received mostly positive critiques so I decided I would not abandon this project but instead improve what caused it to disappear in the private server competition. Here I am today, with a polished project and dare to say, with the potential to become one of the best. But one of the reasons I failed at my 1st try is lack of team members and it taught me quite well how important those are.

Therefore I am seeking competent individuals who would like to be part of a new journey. More specifically we are looking for people in the fields of promotion, community management, in-game support & 2d art. The only restriction we have is being able to write and speak fluent English language. Inside the team, we like to maintain a professional and fun atmosphere. As of now, there are two of us, both in charge of developing and designing the game.

If you are interested, please add me to my Discord (sonitexo # 1880) where we will discuss this in detail.

    Kind regards,

    Sonitex

You can use this one if you don't have uppercase names for your models(this sets name&extension to lowercase).

    Powershell script:

    Get-ChildItem "D:\ymir work\zone" -recurse | Where {-Not $_.PSIsContainer} | Rename-Item -NewName {$_.FullName.ToLower()}

Beta has ended. If you wish to follow us take a look at links below. Thank you for giving us valuable information and see you soon!

I think I found a bug. I am interested if anyone else is experiencing it. If I set bool removeRefineEffect as True, weapons that are not in the shiningtable.txt, their original refine effect is gone, but instead it should be only deleted on the ones that are in the table. Somehow it only appears on weapons. Did I miss something in the code?

The Code above your post what Crazy posted is the solution for this ;) #Edit: cant open your rar file to look at it o.O just post the InstanceBase.cpp here. The mistake wont be in any other file

Probably because I use the newest version of WinRar, I should mention that I did update my code with his, but still the same result.

I have the same problem as he had, any suggestions? I can apply effects to the weapons but when I unequip them, the effect remains?
I would appreciate any kind of help :)

    Hello dear Community,

I am searching for experienced people in these areas:

    -2d Designer(Designing new UI elements)
    -Technician(C++/Python)
    -3d Designer(Effects,3d models, animations)

Our project is still in early phases, as of now we are only 3 people working on it. We will make a big step in the next 3 months as there will be less obligations (Summer vacation ). Our goal is to improve Metin2 overall, from graphics to systems and most importantly, gameplay. I don't wanna spoil everything right away, so if you think you have will and knowledge please contact me.

If you wanna know more informations about the project itself, drop me a message on Skype/Discord(sonitexo/#1880), I will be happy to answer your questions.

    Kind Regards, Sonitex

    Greetings community!

We are still up and running our project but we definitely need more people to make our wishes become reality. We are all set up with BugTracker to help us investigate our problems, a forum where we discuss our new ideas and how could we improve Metin2 in general. As of now "team" is very small and we don't have knowledge in certain areas so this is why I am looking for 3 different kind of developers who are most needed at this time.

    • Technician: Your job is to design the game. You will be the one in charge when it comes to coding, of course you will be cooperating with the other technician who is already in the team. Designing the systems, balancing the game and overall server-side problems will be yours. Knowledge required: C++/Python
    • 3D Designer: There is not much to say, the name itself tells what will you be doing. When it comes to bringing quality new models to the game you will be the chief. To avoid misunderstanding you will be creating character weapons, armors, monsters and NPCs and not map objects! Knowledge required: 3D and Animations
    • Effect Designer: Ingame effects will be yours. Here I am a little bit picky since I do not want few colorful dots popping around in light colors which makes it look cool, but quality animations. Redesigns all of the skill effects is a lot of work but there will be much more than that, so we definitely don't want any half-made work. Knowledge required: Effects creation & animation.

If you are acknowledged in other areas as well, that is just a plus which will save us the time and let us achieve our goals faster. Please send me a message if you are serious (A lot of people have messaged me about joining but even themselves don't know why they wanna join) about it and would like to join us!

In the next weeks we will show our first two iconic maps, main hometowns of the Kingdoms (More than the last time Bitte melden Sie sich an, um dieses Bild zu sehen.) and maybe reveal some of our big plans for the future of Metin2!

    Kind Regards, Sonitex
